Hard to believe it has been 30 years on January 29th since the original incorporating papers for the Down Home Project were filed with the State of Monatana. Wouldn't have happened without John Waugh, Christa Danielson and Pamela Benton Lee who helped buy 625 Phillips, Tim and Chris Swift and Mike Kadas who moved to the north side to support us, Kelley and Kiki Weston who dug the original garden beds and John and Karen Schneeburger who helped get Garden City Seeds off the ground, Brian Black and Ron Erickson, professors who lent us start-up money, Kim Williams who inspired us and Saint Perry Gleasman who watched over us. Bless the God Mother of the project Sandra Perrin. She needs our prayers. Last but not least, my most essential teacher during this time her husband "Daddy" Ron Perrin.
Believe in your best dreams. Ron taught us about the concept of praxis. This is proof.
I hope to be in Missoula around the 1st week of August to help celebrate. Let's get the old gang together. Let's be proud.
