Composting Basics workshop
Saturday, September 11
1:00-3:00 PM @ MUD
Instructor: Stan Wilson (Skills Tour/Permibus - www.permibus.org)
Having taught permiculture techniques for years, Stan has plenty of first-hand experience with composting, and explaining how it works to others. In this workshop, we will cover lasagna-style composting, vermicomposting & integrating chickens into composting systems. Participants will gain hands-on experience building a layered compost pile using readily available, every day components like straw, leaves & lawn clippings, and vegetable waste, all contained in a simple wire frame.
This will be a great opportunity to learn how easy and low-maintenance composting can be, even if you have limited space. It will also be an excellent opportunity to ask lots of questions of a composter with expert knowledge of composting in western MT.
Click here to register online. Or call 721-7513 or email info@mudproject.org.
$10 MUD members/$20 non-members
Scholarships are available. Contact MUD office minimum of 1 week prior to workshop for scholarship information.
